Huiwen Biotech grew out of Shenzhen Wenda Co., Ltd which was founded in 1985 by Ms. Liu Guiyun, an expert in plant cell physiology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Shanghai Branch. In 2000, the company moved to Shanghai for development. Ms. Liu and her co-workers, who were scientists from CAS at that time, established Huiwen Biotech, a platform trasforming research achievements. With the core value of being scientific, functional and professional, two generations of scientific researchers have developed basic research in molecular biology, plant chemistry, microbiology, and organic chemistry with joint efforts. Huiwen also provides services of safety and efficacy verification, and applied research catering to different scenarios. Now, the company has shifted from manufacturing ingredients to providing one-stop, multi-products, full solutions to meet market needs. Huiwen has been listed on NEEQ since 2015 and has its own complete industrial chain with five manufacturing facilities for natural extraction, biopharmaceutical ingredients, fine chemistry, microbial fermentation and cosmetics.
