Conagra Brands is shifting production of frozen breakfast sandwiches from one Tennessee town to another, closing one plant and expanding the other.

Conagra announced Jan. 22 that it will shut down a plant in Dickson that has been making Odom’s Tennessee Pride frozen breakfast sandwiches since 1989, with a loss of about 350 jobs. Production will shift to Jackson, about 90 miles west of Dickson. Conagra plans to expand that 300,000-sq.-ft. plant by 20% at a cost of $106 million, adding about 400 jobs.

Conagra acquired Odom’s Tennessee Pride in 2012, in a deal that included the Dickson plant and one in Little Rock, Ark. The latter was shut down the same year.

This is the second plant closure in Tennessee that Conagra has announced this month. A plant in Newport that makes Hunts ketchup, tomato sauce and Van Camps canned beans will close next year, with a loss of 350 jobs.
