Trust in the food and beverage industry improved slightly this year, according to the 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer from the Edelman Trust Institute. This is Edelman’s 23rd annual trust and credibility report, for which the firm conducted 30-minute online interviews with more than 32,000 respondents in 28 countries.  

As part of the survey, respondents were asked how much they trust businesses in various industry sectors to do what is right. This year, trust in the food and beverage industry was up 2 percentage points to 71%, ranking it just below technology, the most trusted industry (75%), and alongside education (71%).
